Information:

We’re really excited to have you join us on Saturday September 27, 2025 to march and make music with us. Below is a list of information and reminders for the event. Spots are still open, so bring a friend!

Instruments and Music:
Music can be downloaded and printed by clicking HERE. Participants are expected to bring their own music to the event. Students can choose to bring a paper flipfolder or choose to read their music off of their phone or tablet.

We will not have music copies available at the field.

As in the past, we will invite you to play at Pregame and Halftime on the field along with performing with us in the stands. We have included the following music:

UF Fight Song
UF Alma Mater
The Star Spangled Banner
Orange-Colored Sky (for Pregame)
Hey Song
Crazy Train (for Halftime)
UF 2024 Stand Shorts

Uniform:
All high school students are asked to wear their high school uniform to represent their many programs with pride! Make sure to bring all the parts of your uniform including your marching shoes.

Homeschool students should dress in comfortable but professional athletic wear (polo + khakis/jeans).

Students may also want to bring cold weather and/or rain gear, if applicable.

Equipment:
Please bring your own instruments (and cases) and equipment. Percussionists need to bring their own drums, sticks, carriers, stadium stands (if applicable) and other
relevant equipment.

Color guard and twirlers need to bring their own flags, batons, and other relevant equipment.

Check In:
All participants should begin arriving for check in by 2:30PM at the main gate of Donnell Stadium.

Parking at the Stadium
Parking is incredibly limited and restricted at the stadium. Parents that plan on staying for the game should plan to park in the neighborhoods next to the stadium. All student drivers should also park in the neighborhoods.

Please do not stay parked in the most adjacent lots, as those are reserved on game day.

If your director is planning on coming and wants to enter for free, they should arrive early during our rehearsal or during our lunch break.

Address:
Donnell Stadium
1300 S West St.
Findlay, OH 45840

Dinner:
All students will receive lunch (pizza) with the band. We will also provide water and a snack in the stands. Students are encouraged to bring their own water, if needed, for
the morning rehearsal.

If there are dietary restrictions you have, you may want to pack a meal as it is not feasible for us to accommodate every individual need.

Schedule:
2:30 PM HS Band check-in (at Donnell Stadium)
3:30 PM Rehearsal begins in Donnell Stadium
5:00 PM Meal Break
6:00 PM Change into uniforms
6:40 PM Parade into Donnell Stadium
7:00PM Kick off
8:15PM Approximate halftime performance
10:00PM Approximate end of game

*Parents may check their students out after halftime if they wish to leave early.

Students are welcome to stay until the end of game.

Parent Information:
While students and directors that march in with the OMB get in for free, parents and family will need to purchase tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the following link:
https://athletics.findlay.edu/tickets

Friendly reminder to those picking up high school students:
Our stadium is off-campus, and the facility begins to be locked down immediately following the game’s end. Students are expected to be picked up as soon as the game ends.

Parking during the game is extremely limited due to the stadium’s location. Most attendees that drive end up parking in the surrounding neighborhoods near Donnell
Stadium.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Scholarships?

All eligible seniors who participate and apply to UF and are accepted are automatically awarded a marching band scholarship. Participation in High School Band Day acts as an audition/video submission for the marching band scholarship. Please note: students must sign up and participate in the MUSC 100 Marching Band class to receive the scholarship.

Do I have to play the instrument that I play in my current band? (For instance, I play quads but want to play snare).

Bring whatever you want! Just remember that we do not have instruments to give out to participants. We do not have extra carriers, stands, etc. Bring everything that you need and have fun!

I'm an 8th grader but march in my high school marching band. Can I participate?

If you are a marching member of your high school band, you can participate!

Can I leave early?
Yes, but check in with the band staff before you do.

Can I arrive late?
Reach out to Dr. King to discuss your situation. Most likely it is fine.

Should I practice beforehand?
Wind and percussion students will receive music as soon as they sign up through an automated email. Please practice you can! We will also go through the music on Saturday before the game.

Color Guard and Twirlers will either receive videos or learn their choreography the day of the show.
